# How to Ask Questions in GC AI for Word

Asking questions in GC AI for Word is very similar to using the GC AI website, with some differences in the user interface.

1. **Open the GC AI Add-in:**
   * Open the document you want to work with.
   * Select the **GC AI** button in the ribbon. This will open the GC AI panel, typically on the right side of your document.
2. **Locate the Input Box:**
   * At the bottom of the GC AI panel, find the text input box at the bottom of the screen.
3. **Type Your Question:**
   * Select inside the **"Ask anything"** box and type your question about the document's content.
4. **Submit Your Question:**
   * Press the `Enter` key on your keyboard or select the **send** button (the blue circle with an arrow icon) next to the input box.
5. **Review the Answer:**
   * GC AI will process your question based on the document's content and display the answer in the document.
